Calacus to support Willow Foundation London Football Awards
Calacus is delighted to be supporting the London Football Awards, which raises money for national charity, Willow.
Calacus founder and Managing Director David Alexander will be on the LFA Committee to provide communications support for the event, which next takes place in March 2018.
David Alexander said: “I’m honoured to have been invited to join the Committee for the London Football Awards 2018.
“Willow does a fantastic job to help young people and I’ve seen some of the great work that they do through their affiliation with Arsenal.
“The Awards have become a key date on the sporting calendar and we will be tapping into our sports network to help make the event an even greater success.”
Willow is the only national charity working with seriously ill 16 to 40-year olds to fulfil uplifting and unforgettable Special Days. Each day is a life-affirming experience that can lift spirits, reunify families and be a source of strength when it’s needed most.
Founded by former Arsenal goalkeeper and TV presenter, Bob Wilson and his wife, Megs, Willow is a lasting memorial to their daughter, Anna, who died of cancer aged 31. Anna’s love of life and the enriching experiences of her own Special Days were the charity’s inspiration.
To date, Willow has provided more than 14,000 Special Days for young adults with a life-threatening condition.
Willow’s CEO Jonathan Aves, added: “The London Football Awards is at the heart of the Willow sporting events calendar. The profile of the event and the money raised allow Willow to provide hundreds of unforgettable Special Days for seriously ill young adults.”
The 2018 London Football Awards take place at Battersea Evolution on Thursday March 1 2018.
